Duke of Edinburgh

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme has three levels – Bronze (14+ years old), Silver ((15+ years old) and Gold (16+ years old).  Each level consists of volunteering (making a difference within the community or to an individual’s life), physical (achieving greater physical fitness), skills (developing practical skills) and expedition (completing an adventurous journey).

Anyone aged between 14 and 24 can do it. The programme is about going out in to the countryside, going through personal challenges, showing persistence, having fun and achieving self development. Colleges, universities and future employers do value The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and know what it says about those who are award holders.

At Immanuel College, we have approximately 50 students who complete the Bronze Challenge each year.
